been listening to a lot of Against Me! again, ever since Tom Gabel came out as Laura Jane Grace. and there’s something really sad about seeing all those old music videos, but I love them still.
and this new song is fucking perfect. I can’t wait for the new album.
one of my fav Against Me! songs
I’m so excited for Laura, so I’m just sitting watching Against Me! music videos and smiling for her like we’re best friends….

Kate Love: Against Me!
So, one of my favourite bands singers has come out about his issues with his sexuality and plans of becoming a woman.
It makes me happy that he’s been brave enough to do this. I just hope that Against Me! will release another album once the transformation has been completed.. Would be the first…

Hüsker Dü - “The Biggest Lie” Zen Arcade, SST Records, 1984
My old band had a periodic fantasy of doing a live show where we played side two of Zen Arcade all the way through.1 Never happened, but I still love (barely being able to keep up with) playing along with this one.
Back to your day job!

Don’t miss my 2009 post on Side 2, which includes an MP3 of the storied seven songs that very nearly blew my speakers. ↩

The Lawrence Arms // Jumpin’ The Shark
“Tonight, tonight I’m walkin’ away.”
The Lawrence Arms - Recovering The Opposable Thumb
The beginning of this song always trips me out because of how much it sounds like Tim from Elway. Am I the only one who hears it?
Hells yeah!!!!
My new show addiction. (If you haven’t noticed by now, I watch a lot of TV shows, good quality stuff though)
Mad Men is doper than I thought. I heard it was good of course, and I always planned to watch it being that it involved an ad agency and what not, I just didn’t know it was this good. I love how they go through tackling clients and creating campaigns. Don works these ideas kind of like I do…actually, he described it perfectly one episode, “Think deeply on it, then forget about it…the idea will bubble up.” Between him, Roger, who’s funny and entertaining as hell, and just seeing Christina Hendricks….exist, I’m good to go til one of my other shows come back.
